Meet Antonio

Hello, my name is Antonio Salguero, Libertarian candidate for Member of the Assembly in District 78. Thank you for taking the time to participate in the political process and for your consideration.

At home, I am a father of two young boys. My oldest is four, and my youngest just turned one. I am raising them with my high school sweetheart, partner of 16 years.

At work, I operate my private security and training company that I founded in 2016. Over the past decade, I have served clients across Southern California, many within this district, helping them address issues such as crime, homelessness, drug activity, and mental illness through private security services.

I don't see these problems from a distance—| get called when they've already become serious. When government systems failed to address these issues, my clients turned to me for solutions.

That experience has given me a unique perspective as a business owner, employer, and private citizen working within the public safety sector.

Why I’m Running

As a business owner, I’ve seen how regulation and rising costs make it harder to operate, grow, and create opportunity.

As an employer, I’ve seen how taxes and labor policies impact hiring, wages, and the ability for people to get ahead.

As a private security professional, I’ve worked in environments where crime, homelessness, and instability are part of daily operations. As those conditions increase, so do costs. Businesses have to spend more to operate, opportunities shrink, and communities feel it.

These issues are connected. Regulation, taxation, and public safety all impact the cost of living and the ability for Californians to work, build, and stay here.

I’m running to bring a balanced, real-world perspective into government—focused on accountability, practical solutions, and outcomes.
